Yoga Classes

Why are Jeanette's Classes Unique?

As a certified yoga instructor, Jeanette offers an array of classes to fit your movement needs. In her own motherhood experience, the types of classes Jeanette offers were ones that she specifically looked for while she was pregnant. She was searching for something specific, so she decided to offer some unique classes. Taking her practice to the next level, Jeanette became certified to not only offer general yoga classes but also offer classes for the unique makeup of the pregnant and post baby body. Movement is so important in all life stages, and if you're pregnant or newly postnatal, it's important to discuss exercise practices with your healthcare professional before beginning.  Every class is themed with intention and comes from the heart.

Prenatal Yoga has many benefits for mama and baby.

Healthy movement has been shown to lower blood pressure,

reduce stress, uplift emotions, and create calm.

What to Expect:

  • Breathing techniques

  • Navigating the pregnant belly

  • Connecting the breath and movement

  • Birth Positions

  • Props to modify

  • Guided visualization

  • Aromatherapy

  • Connecting to baby

  • Partners are welcome

Postnatal Yoga differs from a general vinyasa yoga class in

the sense that a mother's body often feels and behaves

differently after birth. Moving gradually to rebuild strength

during the postnatal period is also beneficial for calming the

mind while honoring the post-baby body.

What to Expect:

  • Low-intensity poses for gradual rebuild

  • Navigating the post-baby core

  • Connecting the breath and movement

  • Focus on pelvic floor

  • Props to modify

  • Guided meditation

  • Aromatherapy

  • Nursing-friendly poses

  • Focus on lifting mood and energy

Mama & Me yoga classes are especially designed for moms

and their babies. At this stage, the class is best before

babies are off and walking unassisted. Unlike many quiet

yoga classes, mommy & me classes are as much for baby

as they are for mama, so we welcome all the baby sounds!

This is a wonderful opportunity to bond closer with your

baby.

What to Expect:

  • Poses that involve baby

  • Navigating the mama-baby relationship

  • Connecting the breath and movement

  • Connecting with other moms and babies

  • Poses to bond with baby

  • Movements for mama

  • Aromatherapy

  • Focus on lifting mood and energy

  • Class accommodates feeding, changing, and play

Children's yoga is different than an adult class because it

can be filled with large body movement, singing, games,

stories, or imaginative play. These classes allow the children

to have fun while also engaging them to move the body in a

healthy way. Children's yoga is a great way for kids to obtain

foundations to build calm, peaceful, and happy emotions

through self-expression while also bonding with their peers

and parents.

What to Expect:

  • Varying age classes

  • Parent involvement welcome and encouraged

  • Connecting the breath and movement

  • Yoga games, stories, and songs

  • Increasing body awareness

  • Regulating emotions through movement and breath

  • Aromatherapy

  • Focus on lifting mood and energy

  • Accommodates parent involvement or supervision

Chair yoga takes the poses elevated with a prop instead of
a yoga mat. While using the chair, attendee's can work on

strengthening, lengthening, and mobility. If recovering from

an injury or low mobility issues are impacting daily life,

chair yoga can be a wonderful alternative to traditional

poses on a yoga mat. Shoes are typically worn while

practicing.

What to Expect:

  • Varying age classes

  • The chair as a prop

  • Connecting the breath and movement

  • Strength, stability, balance, and mobility

  • Increasing body awareness

  • Regulating emotions through movement and breath

  • Aromatherapy

  • Focus on lifting mood and energy
